RGA is actively engaged in activities related to the exploitation of heterosis in wheat. This primarily involves the development of high-yielding common wheat hybrids. The advantage of heterosis is particularly evident under stressful growing conditions, such as high temperatures, drought, and »low input« farming systems. In 2025, we will launch the first common wheat variety that enables the exploitation of heterosis — the composite Nexera 3155.
