RGA, Research Genetics and Agrochemistry

RGA, Research Genetics and Agrochemistry is a company that is active in the field of new variety development and finding advanced solutions for exploiting their potential. The word primarily means finding synergy between two different scientific and research fields, which has a clearly set goal, which is how to combine sustainability, productivity and economy in agricultural production. RGA was founded in 2014 as an innovative company (a spin-off of the ``Jožef Stefan`` Institute), which at the beginning of its business journey was primarily looking for opportunities to implement experience and skills in the induction of male sterility in commercial wheat breeding. This work has resulted in the development of several successful varieties of common wheat and barley, which are marketed in the region under the ``Nexera`` brand. A step into the future is the upgrading of this genetics with advanced solutions in the field of microbiology and chemistry, which will enable it to achieve recognition on both the domestic and regional markets.
